Porcupine Meatballs

Incredients

  • 1 lb. of ground pork
  • 1 medium sized white onion, finely diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup uncooked, long-grain white rice
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 (28 ox) can of tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or peanut preferred)

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients (except water, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce) together in a bowl.
  2. Form meatballs using a small scoop from the mixture in the bowl.
  3. Fry the meatballs in a skillet in the oil (medium high heat) until browned on all sides.
  4. Add the water, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and drop the heat to low.
  5. Mix together and cover with lid
  6. Simmer until sauce fully thickens and reduces
