Chocolate chip cookies

  • 2 ¼ cups + 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (approx. 12 oz) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the over to 375° F
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt into a small bowl
  3. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixer bowl (until creamy)
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, to the mixing bowl (beat well)
  5. Gradually beat the sugar mixture into the mixing bowl
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips
  7. Drop the mixture via rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets (should make about 24 cookies)
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown
  9. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes
  10. Remove from baking sheets and place onto wire racks to cool completely
